Key Features
Two of Synthesystem's key features which really set it apart from the crowd are:
- Persistent edit history: when editing any kind of item (for example, a photo from your digital camera or mobile phone), Synthesystem automatically remembers the changes you make as soon as you make them. There is no need to manually save your changes, ever, and there is practically no limit to the number of editing steps that Synthesystem will remember. This feature gives you the freedom to experiment without fear of losing valuable effort. You can close an item, close Synthesystem, even restart your computer and the next time you open that same item with Synthesystem, you have the ability to undo back through the changes you made. If you undo something and then change your mind, you can at any time choose to redo the action or actions that you previously undid. See an example of this in this video:
- Easily edit multiple items at once: any change that can be made to one item (for example, one photo) can very easily be done to many. Just select the items you want to edit, then right-click on the selection, choose the action you want to perform from the pop-up menu and Synthesystem applies it to each of the selected items. Since Synthesystem also remembers the edit history for each item, this can easily be undone by right-clicking again on the selection and choosing 'undo'. You can even choose to make a new selection and undo (or later redo) the change for only some of the items which you edited. Although some other applications allow batch editing in a similar fashion, typically only a few of the possible actions are available to perform on multiple items at once. Because of the way Synthesystem is designed, whatever you can do to one item you can automatically do to multiple items just as easily, no exceptions!
I hope that these features illustrate that Technaturally is throwing out the old ways of doing things when they no longer serve well. Computing and technology is currently 'stuck in the past' in many ways: many of the concepts that we work with today are there because technology devices used to have much less storage space and were much slower than they are today. Now that storage space is cheap and devices are much faster, it is long past time for everyone to get the benefits of a new style of computing: one where the computer takes care of all the mundane, annoying tasks, where it does not 'get in the way', but leaves you free to do your thing, whatever that may be. Synthesystem is the key to open the door towards to a new era of computing and technology.
